Suddenly there's a lot of interest in the budget! Yes, it's difficult to please everyone. It's much more difficult to get politicians to agree when their party interests are not prioritised. The question that remains the same though, is: What is best for the country, and who knows what is best for the country? If you have to start with what is best for the country, how do you prioritise the items that are best for the country? Can you decide between economic growth, stability in the currency, political tolerance and stability, basic education, security and policing, job creation, social grants, administration cost curtailment, effective governance at national or provincial or local level, primary health, effective governmental and infrastructural spending, control of markets or cost of labour? Frankly speaking, for me, there is just too much that has to be done and every aspect of life is in a state that it requires immediate and urgent attention. I think we should try a type of judicial governance or adminstrative management and fire all politicians at all levels for a few years. Hopefully, if the governance is left in one person's hands, such as an executive president, the country might be steered into the right directions for the improvement of all.
