Here at the TurboCASH Project we regard SMEs as our backyard turf. Our software is of the highest quality and it is Free. We now have an extensive network of supporting consultants in over 80 countries. Our users turn over more than $10 Bn per year and save over $10 Million per year in licences.
It was with great interest that we heard the announcement of SAP that they intend to enter the SME accounting market. I always find it interesting to ponder how rent seeking companies with huge buildings, car pools and business class airflights beleive that they can simply come along and "enter" the SME market. The corporate idea is always the same - make homogeneous product, give the SME a dream that one day they too may have corporate buildings and sooner or later all these cash strapped SMEs, working out of garages, will be shelling out annuity revenues.
Rentseekers -I have news for you, if anyone wants to compete with us - we revel in it. Let us see you sell something we already give away for free. TurboCASH is now the longest standing accounting product (1984). We are vehemently independent and we resonate with the hundreds of thousands of users that also strive for independent business lives. Over the last few years we have watched many players put down large budgets to buy market share and lose heavily. Microsoft's $100M loss on Accounting Express was perhaps the most amusing. They are not alone, numerous Banks have spent large amounts to try to secure online accounting user bases. All of this is great for TurboCASH because it ups the stakes on the SME market. Bring it on....
I want to thank everyone that has helped us to extend the TurboCASH reach as far as we have. The Battle for the survival of SMEs globally has only just begun. If you have a strong stomach and want to see what we are up against, read Welcome to the Rollerball Economy.
